Great Happy Hour & Wings for the area. The guy serving was incredibly nice and welcoming. Honestly these wings took me back to my high school days. Never thought I would be able to taste wings like these again. I definitely will be back for the wings. Get the sauce on the side!

I had a most wonderful and peaceful breakfast by myself at Ricky's cafe while the rest of my family shopped around the neighborhood. I ordered a western omelet with rye toast (my usual) and hot coffee. My server could not have been nicer. I apologized for needing to make a couple of phone calls while I was there and he said there was no need. There was an older gentleman who entered, seemed like he had fallen on some tough times. He ordered a bowl of soup and was kind of agitated, but eventually settled down. When I went to pay for myself, I offered to pay for the older man as well, but they waved me off and let me know they had already covered it. How kind! I ended up having a long conversation with the owner, she though she recognized me, but I was not who she thought I was. I left wishing I lived closer, if so, I would 100% be a Ricky's regular.

Came here with my friends, all five of us, because nothing says bonding like squeezing into a table meant for three. If you're looking for a team-building exercise, forget escape rooms -- just try fitting your squad into Ricky's Café. Cozy? Sure. Intimate? Absolutely. Elbow-to-elbow dining and interlocked thighs? You bet. But shoutout to the staff for being super friendly! One of my friends basically likes his coffee as a dessert -- think sugar and creamer with a side of coffee. The staff didn't judge and even kept the refills coming. Free coffee refills AND free creamer? Saints. I went for the hot chocolate and a BLT with avocado because I like to pretend I'm healthy while still eating bacon. Hot chocolate? Chef's kiss. Beautiful presentation and tasted great on a cold day like this one. Solid 5/5. The BLT? Meh. The bacon was crispy enough to shatter into bacon dust, but the multigrain bread? Might as well have been toast armor. I paid an extra $2 for avocado, but honestly, I wish they offered sourdough or something a little less... indestructible. Still, it was decent. A respectable 3/5. Oh, and for anyone reading those old reviews about there being no bathroom -- surprise! There's now a single-use bathroom, but you need to ask for the key. It feels like unlocking a secret level in a video game, but progress is progress. Prices are not terrible but leaning toward the "my wallet felt that" side. Still, for the quality (especially that hot chocolate), it's fair. Overall, Ricky's Café is a charming little spot if you're a party of two or three. Five? Get ready to get cozy and interlock thighs. Would I come back? For the hot chocolate, absolutely. For the BLT? Maybe if they armor it with sourdough next time.

I'm a regular. For years. I grew up in this neighborhood. Ricky's is my go to for friendly, neighborhood feel and good food. The coffee, the breakfast (eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, omelettes, pancakes) all delicious. Sandwiches are BIG and tasty too. The service here is why I always come back. They are so friendly and inviting. Also, I love the lemon ginger iced tea the owner makes. I look forward to it when it starts getting warmer out.

Upon walking in a busy Saturday morning, the waitresses were reluctant to seat my parents and I. My father lost his cool after being ignored for what seemed like ten minutes. We noticed another Hispanic couple being dubbed while the white customers were treated first. Kinda sucked seeing that especially in Jackson heights... but whatever. The food was delicious diner breakfast food. It's less greasy than other options around queens and the portions are smaller for sure. The toast came already buttered for anyone that cares about toast customization. The coffee according to my mother was "real coffee" and the home fries were sooo yummy. Ima come back regardless of their slow service.
